Discussion regarding inquiry and the need for collaboration to inspire and support each other & our students in that process.
We decided it is vital to focus on what is within our reach so we are encouraged to include aspects of inquiry in even one project with one class. Information skills are an integral part of the inquiry process, beginning with the students' ability to ask meaningful questions that are relevant to them.
We also talked about how sharing the results of inquiry in various ways can be validating for students and teachers and how teachers could help each other by sharing their project ideas and successes at staff meetings (in the future... Magdy is quite prepared to allot time to this).
